I thinks she's better than Tarja if i'm honest. The problem with Tarja was that she always seemed to be stuck on the high notes whatever the track was. Although Anette doesn't hit that height, she makes up for it by having a greater range around the level of her voice.

Tarja has a great voice...but she makes horrible mistakes while singing live.

She didn't have problems in Oceanborn/Wishmaster era...but when she had to change her singing style in CC and Once,that is where the problems begun.It just sucks live.It makes me sick whenever I watch End of an era.I mean,that high-pitched screaming without any sense...and how she pronounces English.(watch Nemo live from EOAE:Neijmo maj nijm foriver mour)

She comes on the stage dressed in a cool dress,looks beautiful...and then she starts:dis is mi,for forivr,van of di lost vans......then I want to jump out of my skin.

*coughs* IMO her accent is lovely and I just love how she sings with accent....

I love her accent on the album,but it sounds really funny live

I haven't seen them live with Tarja but in End OF An Era I just love her accent she is so funny and lovely when she sings Nemo

Well for the newcastle gig, a friend of mine made a banner saying "Anette we love you" in swedish and Anette read it and said thank you to us for coming.
Then near the end of singing PATP I saw tears in her eyes and she had her head down for the rest of the song
It was nice to see her show genuine emotion on stage, she's honestly the sweetest person I've ever met.

The cow didn't give me her autograph though lol

A week has nearly passed without comment on Anette so i just want to say she was great again at Manchester on Saturday. She has a fantastic vibe with the audience. At one point a guy at the front shouted something to her. She said "what?" and then "oh, he wants a drumstick!". She then went to Jukka and got one for him! Everyone cheered!

At the end she signed a fans banner onstage and got the rest of the band over to join in. I've been to loads of concerts and never seen a major band doing that. She seems to appreciate the support and knows where she came from.

I had the pleasure to see Nightwish last November in San Antonio and I thought she rocked ass live! I loved the new album and was dying to hear her versions of Nightwish classics, and youtube just doesn't do her justice at all. Being in Texas we had the extra bonus of John Two Hawks for the encore and I really thought she did great with Creek Mary's Blood. I hope they release a Nightwish revisited album because she gives each of them a different flavor.

I feel really sorry for anette at the minute, I just went onto a fan site and they've posted information on her divorce. It's so unfair that something so personal is getting splashed across the media

I know, Fair enough she may be in the media spotlight but there should be a line to draw on where to stop

I really like her voice and especially the stuff she did with Alyson Avenue. She sounds truly awesome on "Another Night", the ending gives me chills. Do we have a thread for Alyson Avenue here?

I agree, but unfortunately Nightwish are big news in Scandinavia and she is bound to get the sort of tabloid attention that the likes of Amy Winehouse does over here.

Anette keeps a concert from getting dull and boring by being really hyper on stage and trying to make the crowd be a part of the performance.

I think Anette is amazing. She has a gorgeous voice, is stunning She does not look 37... my mom thought she was 19 haha. She is gorgeous though

She has amazing stage presence. I admire the way she handled that 'Anette sucks' in the video.

Has anyone seen this video of someone shouting 'Anette's sexy' and she says 'I'm sexy' haha. She is a great front woman It's at Birmingham.. the first time I saw Nightwish

I TOTALLy adore her!!!!

She has been added to my favourite singers list , I love her, love her sweetness and kindness and freshness, her courage to sing old songs and her courage to face fans and everything what means to stand-in Tarja ( so loved and recognized by all people).
She's wonderful, also so kind and friendly, I have never imagine before I could get contact with the singer of Nw, now with Nettie I have got that and more, I just love her, she's so down on earth and humble... Hep hep Nettie!

Nettie is awesome she is so cute and nice to her fans and the most important thing she has an amaizing voice,and she looks pretty for her age!
