4 Because There Was Some Excellent Songs And Vocals But It Was Like A Show Off And I Think Her Performance Had Kind Of Lost It's Magic And Flare. In My Opinion Tarja Is Screwed Without Toumas [Sorry If That's Incorrect Spelling].

I loved that album! I think it was really strong for her first solo rock cd with a wide range of styles.
I do agree with wildchild that the little intro's were stupid.
I so loved the artwork. Great artistic photography that I really appriciated (I heart fantasy portraiture).
I think Posion rocked. I've never heard the Alice Cooper version because I think he's lame. Have any of you seen her live performance of that song on youtube? She does the funniest dancing EVER! She can pat her head, but can she rub her belly at the same time?!

I think one of the only lame things about Alice is the song "Poison" actually!

5/5 I'm a huge Tarja fan, and even if she made an album where the only instrument was Tarja farting, I'd love it and call her "the most innovative person in music EVER"..
Anyway, seriously, I think MWS is really beautiful, I love the quiet and dark melodies of Sing for Me, Boy and the Ghost, Damned & Divine, etc..

While she did a good cover of Alice Cooper's Poison the lyrics were odd. I understood the meaning of them the way they were worded it was like chunks of some of them were missing. I would like to see Tarja write her own lyrics instead of editing what is wrote for her. I got rather tired of the intros and I found songs like Calling Grace and the Reign rather boring and dull. The cd was one of few cds can actually be called a dark cd and be worth listening to. I however sad to see that some of the best songs took a step towards the symphonic rock path. I hope she'll return fully to Symphonic metal.

4/5. It's a very good album, very diverse. I just wish Tarja had more input on it. Sing For Me is probably my favourite song or The Seer and I love Die Alive and Oasis. I hated Poison at first because I love the original so much but I love Tarja's version now. Good choice for a cover. It was a good first album but I know she can do better.
