I suppose that it has to be Over The Hills And Far Away, though I also really like their interpretation of The Phantom Of The Opera, and Walking In The Air is just beautiful. I love all three of those songs!

I voted for Over the Hills and Far Away

The Phantom of the Opera is also amazing. Tarja did a better job than the chick in the movie. (Though I think Sarah Brightman is still the best on that song)

Over the Hills............... when i first heard it i couldn't stand it, i found it quite funny to be honest, just the chorus. I had never heard these kind of vocals in a metal band before and it was all a bit much for my taste Razz

But now i find it catchy and better then the other covers at least

Because I saw Sarah Brightman and that guy(I think it was Andrea Bocelli) singing...Tarja and Marco aren't even close to such singers.

Phantom of the Opera, almost purely for the accompaniment...now whenever I listen to the Sarah Brightman/Michael Crawford version I miss the guitars, the song deserves the atmosphere that Nightwish gives to it!

The live version of it is better though,as Tarja did the original vocalisations (on the record the version she does of these isn't nearly as good)...although I do think that Tarja's voice isn't the best one for the song,as she sounds more like a Carlotta than a Christine IMO!

Went for "over the hills" on the list but my favourite covers are "High Hopes" and "Symphony of Destruction". Don't really like any of the ones featuring Tarja that much.

Try and find the original Sarah Brightman/Steve Harley version of "Phantom". I have the 12" single and it's excellent!

I think they did Phanom of the Opera very well, but it was the first time I'd ever heard the song so I'm biased and likely to say it's the best...
